You will need DivX to watch the higher quality video. 04-05-08 - Renders from old ProjectI was looking through some old stuff in my portfolio and was taken with the idea of choosing a project from school and working on doing some renderings for it. I picked a project from my 4th year (Arch 401). The project was a bit open ended. It was simply to chose a program which would advance the goals of a fictional presidential foundation. The site was Sakura Park in Manhatten on Riverside Drive. I chose to program a public library and an international conflict resolution center. I also attempted to provide some stage-like spaces to replace the performance spaces in Sakura Park as well as recreational facilities and green spaces located throughout the project. There's a lot of layering going on in my original design which I didn't capture in the new renderings but I didn't really want to spend more than a day. I'll including some new renderings as well as some old source images from the project for comparison. You can view this project in my portfolio here.
